If you received an invite code from a friend or one of our partners, you can redeem it in two ways: during account setup, or through the Invites Mini App.
Redeeming the invite code during account creation
When creating your World ID App account, you'll be prompted with a "Received an invite code?" screen.
- Tap Redeem invite code when the prompt appears during onboarding.
- On the Redeem code screen, enter the invite code you received in the text field.
- Tap Confirm.
- Your code will be processed — you'll see a brief Processing... state.
Once validated, you'll see a "Code applied" confirmation.
Redeeming the invite code through the Invites Mini App
If you've already completed account setup, you can redeem a code directly through the Invites Mini App.
- From the Apps tab, open the Invites Mini App in World ID App.
- On the home screen, scroll down to the "Redeem invite code from your friend" card and tap Redeem.
- On the Redeem code screen, enter the invite code you received.
- Tap Confirm.
- Once processed, you'll see a confirmation that your code has been applied.
Note: The Invites Mini App and invite rewards may not be available in all countries. If you see an "Invites are not available" message, this feature has not yet launched in your region.
When does my friend receive their invite reward?
Your friend will only receive their invite reward after you successfully verify your World ID. Make sure to redeem the invite code before starting verification — if you verify first and apply the code later, your friend may not receive the reward.
When will the reward appear?
The time it takes for your friend's reward to appear depends on the reward type available in your country:
- Points are added to your friend's World ID Rewards balance shortly after you successfully verify.
- WLD invite rewards may take up to 48 hours to appear in your friend's World wallet after you verify.
